1. Time and Place
The Third China Majiang Championship will be held in Beijing from Oct. 28 th to 31 st , 2005 .
2. Rules
The Championship adopts the Chinese Official International Standard Rules and related provisions of the Organizing Committee.
3. Moral Standards for competition
T he Championship emphasizes morality , observe social morality , fair competing, observing umpires, respecting for others, carrying forward spirits, self-cultivation, and keeping fit.
4. Ways of competition
T here are no different treatment with gender and age. The competition adopts the way of standard cycling , total 8 loops .
5. Scoring of the competition
four, two, one, zero point.
6. Ranking
P articipants get their ranks by the total scores that they gain in the cycling competitions, (if participants have the same score, dealing with by the detailed explanation for the “Rules” of China Majiang Championship ). The Organizing Committee will rank the top 16 individual participants.
The Groups, consisting of four members, get ranks by the calculation of the four members' points, the Organizing Committee will rank the top 6 groups in the competition.
All participants who observe the rules of the Championship and obtain a total score can attain ranks, certificates and souvenirs. The top 16 individual participants and the top 6 groups can get their keepsakes. The top 3 individual participants will respectively attain the titles of champion, runner-up and the third position in the Third China Majiang Championship.
7. Awards
The top 3 individual participants will respectively attain the titles of champion, runner-up and the third position in the Third China Majiang Championship, stampers of valuable stone, the certificate of grade signed by Mr. Yu Guangyuan, the Honorary President of Organizing Committee, and when they participate the Forth China Majiang Championship, they need not pay the Registration Fee, the charges in the hotel and lunches and suppers' expenses during the Championship.
8 . Certificate of Grade
A ccording to the result of the contest, the participants who gain ranks in this activity will obtain the certificate of grade signed by Mr. Yu Guangyuan, the Honorary President of Organizing Committee.
9 . Registration
The Competition Committee is in charge of the registration of native participants . The Contacting and Reception Committee is in charge of the registration of foreign participants . Application will be closed if the number of 100 participants is fulfilled.
Deadline for Application: Oct . 1 8 th , 200 5 . All participants from China and abroad above the age of 18 by Oct . 28 th , 2005 can apply for participation in the competition. Please follow the requests of the registration form to fill it out well and give the right signature .
The Organizing Committee ha s the right to reject application and give s the special invitation. The accepted participants should complete the procedur e indicated above .
10. Registration Fee
The registration fee is US D 120 $ per person , which include s: the charge of participants' lunc hes, suppers for three days of the competition etc. Non- participants needn't pay registration fee , only need to pay the board and lodging expenses during the Championship . 11 . The right of explanation belongs to the Organizing Committee, and the unmentioned information
until further notice .
